The EMX5016CF has a total of 16 input channels — twelve for monaural microphone or line input, plus four stereo pairs. All of the stereo channels can function either as monaural microphone inputs or stereo line inputs. Switchable phantom power is provided for all microphone inputs.
This flexible mixer also features an on board stereo power amplifier (500W a side at 4 Ohms), two on board SPX digital effects processors, compression on the first eight channels, a Digital Graphic EQ (with presets and user memory), a Maximiser on the stereo bus and some powerful tools for preventing and controlling feedback.
Setting up and tuning a PA couldn’t be easier or quicker than with FRC (Frequency Response Correction) - a system for analysing room responses and optimising EQ settings to match. With the EMX5016CF's on board Digital Graphic EQ you can also store these EQ settings in user memory and save having to analyse the room when you return for another show. Automatic Feedback Supression is also included as an additional method for controlling feedback. The Supressor works by constantly searching for feedback frequencies on the stereo bus and applying precise notch filters to eliminate any potential feedback. If you like to be in control however, you can still adjust both the GEQ and Supressor manually.
The EMX5016CF features a flexible range of input and output connections that enable it to be easily integrated into larger systems. Insert points are provided on the first eight channels to connect, for example to external signal processors. Although there is a heap of on board effects processing and monitor power, the two AUX and two EFFECT sends allow you to route the mixers signal to your choice of additional monitoring system or external processors. Stereo out, stereo sub-out and record outputs are also provided to maximise your options for external connection.
